What images are prioritized in the opening sequence? The images prioritized consisted of a creepy looking house and people from the film. The images were based on the colors black, white, and grey. The actual titles were only in the color white and always on a black background. What connotations do these images carry? These images created a sense of fear. The images were creepy especially one that was a girl with blood on her face. Also, the images being black, white, and grey helped infer that the movie was going to be on some type of horror game. I found this film on the website Watch the Titles. What titles are displayed during the opening sequence? In this opening sequence, there were actors names, directors names, music creators names, producer names, and ect... What images are prioritized in the opening sequence? In this opening sequence the main images is like views of the city and houses. The colors were just black, red, white, and grey. The colors of the words changed with each new title slide to a color that stands out from the background. What connotations do these images carry? Many titles were displayed like the name of the movie, the producers, the directors, and the main actors. What images are prioritized in the opening sequence? Title Research: Watch the Titles Website

Image
Even though I already researched one website, I am looking at another one to get more information. Information and extra details that the first website didn't mention. I need as much information as possible in relating to titles for my task. It is important for me to have a good amount of knowledge on the making and decisions needed to take when I do my title. Music or some type of sound is added to the titles. Most tend to be done on a solid color background. There are some other films that involve images relating to the movie. Also, some are very colorful but, it does depend on what the movie is about. The title screen is very important in catching attention. It is the first thing people see before watching the movie so it means that it has to look really nice and has to be an attention getter.

Title Research: Art of the Title Website

Image
I am researching this website because I need to learn about making titles. For example, I need to learn how to make the title fit with my task. I know nothing on making titles and the process of it so, researching is necessary to make a great title. During a quick glimpse of the website I saw many different ways titles were portrayed. Some had all the letters capitalized while others only had the first letter of each word. I quickly learned the the main basic way of styling a title is at the center of the screen and in all capitals. The color of the words need to be a contrasting color making it pop out on the screen. Titles also tend to be on an all black background or a dark color like red, navy blue, or even gray. From looking through many titles I learned also that the image that the title is going to be on is important. Many movies have an image that shows a glimpse of the movie or gives a hint to what the movie is based about.

What elements of the genre that you chose to base your final task on does this movie have?  Some elements they have in common are suspense, danger, fear, anticipation.  They may have these elements in common but in my final task they are going to be expressed in a different way. S uspense is going to help lead to the kidnapping in my film because it's going to aware the watchers something is up. So, it's also going to influence a person's anticipation. What elements of the genre did the movie have that you like?  This movie had a lot of elements of the genre film. My favorite element was the suspense. One scene the built a lot of suspense was at the beginning of the movie.  It was a scene where the girl locked at her dog and walked towards him because he was barking. The girl was deaf and we were put in her shoes because we couldn't hear the dog bark and we saw that the dog had goosebumps. This lead suspense lead to anticipation that ...

Since my final task is being based on someone getting kidnapped, already it's a very tense film.  What elements of the genre did the movie have that you like?  The number one element that I liked was the suspense. This movie was full of suspense and was so amusing to watch. In one of the scenes during the movie where the girl lost site of the other girl and suspense and tension was created. This was created because I knew the girl was going to pop up out of nowhere at any moment. That was anticipated also because of the music during the scene and what the occurrence before that was. Also, I liked the excitement produced in this movie. For example the race ...

Genre Research: Thriller

Image
I decided that my film will be opening with the thriller genre. I researched this topic and it fits my pitch. Most thriller movies i've seen tend to go hand in had with other genres. For example horror or crime genres are also involved. But, I will base my opening scene on just the thriller genre even though there will be some hints of another genre. I will base it as much as possible to the thriller genre. Since, the costumes I was planning on using relate to cartel style I will have to avoid as much as possible making it learn towards crime. I came to the conclusion of choosing thriller for a specific reason. The reason to which why it was chosen was because it was going to end with a cliffhanger of kidnapping. Kidnapping is very tense and suspenseful. When I researched this genre I saw that some elements were tension, suspension, danger and excitement. The mafia dressing also brings suspense to the film. The reason for this is because the viewer will already imagine cri...

This powerpoint I did was a in-depth research on the conventions of the genre action. I learned what these genres tend to have in their films/movies. A place where it will stay organized and give me all the information I need with quick easy access. This genre is one of the most popular out of all the different kinds of genres. Some example films of this genre include Black Panthers, Mission: Impossible, and Avengers: Endgame. Common camera angles used in these type of films are low angle, high angle, and dutch angle. Each angle is unique in its own way. They help with giving a type of feeling when a person is watching a film. Common lighting used is: side lighting, backlighting, ambient lighting, and high key lighting. These lightings help tribute also to the mood of the scene. Common Mise-En-Scene include cost...

My Pitch

Image
My first pitch: A powerful mexican cartel head bosses kid gets kidnapped. My second pitch: A prestigious business owners daughter gets killed on her wedding day. For the official choosing, I choose the first pitch. I will be basing my film on a mexican cartel boss who kid got kidnapped. I love watching telenovelas which are known as soap operas. This especially inspired me on what my film will be about because my favorite type of telenoveles are narco ones. Also, since I love these type of films so much I decided to make my own film. I am also mexican so I could've found any better theme for my film. The pitch I choose will also be easier than the other one. The reason for me thinking that is because the story of the first pitch is much more easier for me personally to film since I know about the subject. The whole filming process would be easier for me. Especially figuring out the setting for the film in the first pitch would be a lot easier then the second one. Also, the second p...

Starting the Final Task

Image
Hi my name is Liliana Rubio and i'm finally going to start my final task for my Aice Media class. I am currently in 11th grade at Fort Lauderdale High School. I was born in south Florida and have lived my whole life down here. Even though I have lived my who life in Florida there is a part of me that wants to move to Texas. I want to move to Texas because it reminds me a lot of Mexico and I am always at my happiest when I am in Mexico. Both of my parents were born in Mexico so, i'm mexican-american. I love traveling to mexico and I actually just came back from Mexico a month ago. I played soccer every year for my school but this year I wasn't able to. I had surgery which didn't allow me to play and then also because of covid I couldn't play. I decided to take AICE Media not only for the credit but because I enjoy watching movies and learning how its done seemed cool to me. Actually gaining the experience ...
