 My final task was my favorite film I did all year. This one let my creativity go crazy. I was aloud to design my own opening film of a movie which was really fun. I had a great time and it was a good experience doing this film. I learned many new things like new editing tools which will greatly benefit me in the future. 

 Editing my film was very fun to do. I actually enjoy editing because I can make it look cool or more smooth. This is the longest video i've edited. This film was 2 minutes long but, beforehand the longest I have ever edited was a minute. I played around a lot more when it came to editing this time. I changed up the colors of the word and even changed the font of the letters. I used two colors for the word it was either yellow or white. I mostly used white but, I used the yellowe for specific titles and also because it stood out more than the white in those scenes. I also changed the font because I didn't want it to be boring and basic like all my other films, I wanted my final task to be different. I did struggle at first with changed the letters and the colors of the font because I had never done it before. I did end up getting the hang of it and now actually know how to do it.  Finally after many failed attempts of filming I was able to complete my filming. It only took one day to film. But, there were some complications with the lighting. Since we didn't do the scenes in order and did them from the last scenes to the first scenes. One problem was the sunlight because there was sunlight in the last scenes but not in the beginning. Even though that happened the sky really can't be seen at the beginning. The filming was a very fun experience. Being able to do the filming with my family was very enjoyable and it felt good spending time with them. So, instead of ski mask we used face mask which worked out pretty well because it was somewhat like a face cover up. Also, we changed up some scenes for example the knocking out Yuli (nanny) scene. Instead of the original idea of knocking her out with like a rock she was pulled by her hair to the floor. This change was made because it would be more safe.  This week has been an unproductive week. Well only for this class I didn't do anything. I decided not to deal with anything dealing with this class. But, I didn't do anything because I was lazy I needed to work on other things. I catched up on other classes instead throughout the week. The reason for this was because of work all my assignments have piled up. Also, I wasn't worried with not working on this class because everything is prepared. I just have to wait for the day I am going to film. Also, I got sick this week and haven't been feeling well. I did go take a covid exam and it came back negative thankfully. I am just getting the cold but, I still have to film so whether or not I am fine or not I will be filming. Tomorrow friday, I am finally going to film. I have waited a very long time but tomorrow will finally be the date. I didn't follow the schedule I had originally made for the dates of filming and editing. But, not everything goes as planned.  This weekend that just passed was Easter. I used this week to my benefit because my family got together. I was able to see my family members who are going to be in the film. I didn't film this weekend because of Easter, my family is religious so we were busy. Regardless, I was able to chat with my cousins about my film. I spoke to them and we are going to film on Friday and Saturday. The goal is to do all the filming on Friday. There would only be filming on Saturday if we don't finish on friday. We choose the specific time of 6pm. The reason for this was because it is going to set the correct vibe with the film. It isn't going to be too sunny nor too dark. Since time will be running, it is going to get darker depending how long we take to film the scenes. With all the retake and process the goal is not to run completely out of sunlight.  So over these last couple of days I have ran into some difficulties. Some of my family members started to get sick. So now we have to wait for their covid results to come back just to make sure it isn't that. This is making me have to postpone the filming if anything as of right now. I won't postpone it for to long because I have to start filming. Coronavirus has taken a huge impact on how we socially gatter now in groups. It is better to be safe than sorry. So, if I have to take out people from my final project I will do so. My clothes hasn't arrive and if it doesn't get here by this weekend I am just going to have to wear something else.   The week that just passed was spring break and it allowed for time to get everything together. Even though there was no filming done, there was a gathering. I was suppose to film but, a very important event happened and filming wasn't possible on the weekend. Also, during the week I was working a lot. On the weekends I was also going out now that I finally had my weekend free without having to do any homework or classwork for school. I focused on myself more during the break. I decided to put school completely to the side even though I did think about my project. The gathering I did was on saturday when I hung out with my family.  During this week being the week before spring break, I was busy all week working on assignments. Also, I was trying to fix my grades this week. It took up a lot of time this week. But, I used some time to work on preparations for the film. My clothing still hasn't arrived to my house so, I still can't film. The clothes is supposed to arrive either next week or the week after that. The clothes is important because it is considered the costume we are wearing. We need to look like a narco cartel and the clothing is essential to bring those vibes out. Or just look like a mafia but the clothes is very important for my final project.  This weekend I didn't film. I used this weekend to get together with my family since we all gathered together for a party. I used this time to make sure who was going to participate in the film. I already knew who was going to be in it I was just making sure again. I discussed briefly how the film was going to be recorded. I describes some of the scenes to them so then can get an idea. I also found someone that would help with the filming because she volunteered to do it. I also discussed the outfits we were going to wear. The outfits are going to be different for the nanny, the child, the bodyguards, and me and the guest wear the same thing. The bodyguard outfits are still undecided. It's either in between wearing all black or dressed mexican. I am going to be dressed a certain mexican style they call "buchona" which is a term to describe a female narco way of dressing.  This week has been a very stressful week. The whole week I spent it taking care of my nephews while doing school at the same time. I had to wait on doing homework which lead me to sleep very late and be tired. I was busy everyday with my school work. Many teachers gave me assignments that I had to do which took me a couple of hours to complete. I was overloaded with homework which didn't make my week any easier but, more stressful. Especially with the quarter coming to the end I wanted to do all my work and makeup work if I missed any assignments. I didn't have time to make space for filming. If I had any spare time I didn't want to film personally. I went to go watch soccer games or hang out with friends instead of filming. Also, it is hard for my family to be at my house during the weekdays. Not everyone lives super close to me so, it is difficult for some to come.  I still haven't started filming. I am still waiting on the clothes I ordered for the filming. The clothes is important for the film. The reason it is important is because it helps with the background of the characters. Also, since I just finished doing all my planning it was going to be difficult to start filming right away. I needed the weekend to plan more stuff out. For example, I had to think about the clothes I and the rest of the actors in the film have to wear. Since I used up the weekend planning other things I couldn't film. I can only film on the weekends because that is the only time everyone can get together. During the week I babysit and do school. The other people who are going to act either work or live somewhat far. This makes it difficult for filming during the weekdays. This makes the weekends the only dates available for filming. The story board greatly helps me with making my final task so much easier. I have the layout so when it is time to film I already know what I am go to be doing. In the first page introduces the person that is getting kidnapped. The whole film is going to start with a black screen and then it's going to fade into the film. In the last page is where the most action happens which includes the kidnapping scene.

 Starting on the process of filming my final task has been postponed. An unfortunate circumstance occurred and I had to delay everything. I had to leave the state and put this project on hold for a couple of days. I still am currently working on four very important blogs. Those blogs are the storyboard, script, titles, and planning blogs.  My family for me comes before education which is why I took the time off. I had to be healthy mentally before I was ready to start working on the project again. The filming process wouldn't been able to be done since I didn't have everything planned out.
