                During this one week of vacation that me an my partner had, we didn't film. On the last day of school before break I wanted to film but I went to go play soccer instead all the afternoon. So by the time I finished there wouldn't been any sunlight so we couldn't have filmed. I did want to film the day after the last day of school before brake. I ended up getting busy that day so I didn't even end up mentioning filming to Jose. We could have filmed in the morning because I was available but I just wanted to relax. In the afternoon I went to a gathering with my family. The day after that I was free all day I had nothing planned. It was also a very sunny day so perfect for filming and getting it over with. I ended up leaving to my cousins house because I preferred spending time with my family since I wasn't busy.  I honestly didn't feel like filming. I didn't want to do anything dealing with school.   Me and my partner both chose this song for our music video because it has a story in it, and we enjoyed listening to it. We came to a conclusion and chose to do it in a car instead of a park because we thought it would be better. As you can see for the first scene, we are walk towards the car to start off the music video. We are thinking about maybe putting that part in slow motions with also the second scene. For the second scene we are just getting into the car and getting ready to leave. For the third scene before we left, I decide to say, "you remember the good old days before getting to Highschool".   Planning                               The Song for this music video is call "Don't you worry child" by Swedish house mafia. Me and my partner both chose this song and I think planning for this song will go smoothly. Since this song tells a story on its own, we've decided to incorporate that into our props such as old photo of us growing up. In the song the story is of him growing up and I think we should simulate that story with pictures as we get old, like an old vs now. I think the incorporation of images of us growing up would add a nice touch to the theme with how we plan to do it. Research Blog                     Music videos tend to be long ranging from 2-5min. Some videos can even last longer than that. Conventions construct the messages and meaning within the music video. Music videos tend to have long scenes. Our song that we chose fits in the genre of dance/electro. This genre can also be referred to as EDM (electronic dance music) music. These types of videos tend to have a young crowd. This makes it appealing to young people. The settings of these videos are usually in a club, big open areas, and even swimming pools. But, it's usually that setting for when the beat drops and it gives a very happy/energetic mood. The scenes tend to change with the beat of the music. The music tends to be a very hyped/energetic beat throughout the whole video. But it's different since the beat is like steady at some points and then at other the beat completely changes to a more fast moving music. Als...

             I am officially starting my new project for my AICE Media Studies class. This will be my second video project ever done but this time I am doing the project with a friend. I'm looking very forward to completing and seeing the finished product. This video project will be double the length compared to last time since this project is going to be a minute long. One minute doesn't seem like an issue since seconds go by pretty fast and at the end of the film you are actually going to have to remove parts of a clip.              I will be working on the music video project with my friend Jose Reyes. He's a long time childhood friend. We go way back to 1st grade so i've known him for many many years.              1.) My commercial uses conventions in many was. For example, the film is narrative because I was making a short story on Gatorade to get the idea out that it is a great drink for refreshing yourself throughout a workout. I used low angles and at the person's height angle throughout the whole film. The low angles would give a really nice touch to the action parts of the commercion. I also used some far shots, close-up, and mid shots in. I also added music to the the commercial to give it a mood depending on what was being done during that clip and the mood I was trying to create. It represents a social group of people who do some sort of physical activity. The video was based on a simple soccer drill and then drinking gatorade. This was my first ever experience recording a commercial. It was a cool experience being in charge of my own commercial. Also, directing it and making the storyboard come to actual life. I love recording on my phone so making this film was actually fun. This small project wasn't actually hard it was very simple and easy. I used new techniques when recording for example, I used different angles like a low angle or high. Throughout this activity I learned many things. For one, I learned that sometimes you just have to work with what you got and deal with it. I had to deal with the sky being cloudy and make the best out of it. Also, when i realized i forgot my cones and had to improves the cones with the extra gatorades I took. I honestly like how my commercial came out even though it was my first time making a film and I still don't know a lot about editing and recording.                            Editing Blog:  The process of editing my Gatorade Commercial The first thing I did was to transfer all of the videos from my phone to my laptop. Then I opened up IMovie which is the program that I will be editing my commercial in. I loaded all the scenes and put them in the order they are suppose to be in. The first issue I saw was that my commercial had passed the 30 second limit. I didn't get to worried because it was only a couple of seconds and I knew that when I added transitions the time was going to go down. Also, my backup plan was just to crop the videos to the shortest length I could possibly have. So, the first thing I did after I loaded all the videos on my editing program was adding the transitions. After the transition I took out the sound for most of the clips. I added sound to the clips to create the mood I wanted. For example in the clip that my cousin is...

 Filming Blog     The day I went to go film wasn't the original date planned since unfortunately something occurred during the week. The original date was supposed to be on wednesday 10/28 but I ended up filming on Sunday 11/1. I got to the soccer field around 6:30 in the morning. The original plan was to film in the afternoon. I changed it to the morning because I was going to be really busy in the afternoon on the day I was going to film. Also, it was going to be less hot in the morning. I was suppose to be the one in the film but, my cousin ended up being in the film. I had surgery on wednesday so, I couldn't do any physical activity which is the main thing throughout the film. The lighting was good but it wasn't sunny enough. Unfortunately, it was cloudy but we made the best of it. The field was also a little wet since it was raining the whole night.
