Introduction to the Music Video Project

I am officially starting my new project for my AICE Media Studies class. This will be my second video project ever done but this time I am doing the project with a friend. I'm looking very forward to completing and seeing the finished product. This video project will be double the length compared to last time since this project is going to be a minute long. One minute doesn't seem like an issue since seconds go by pretty fast and at the end of the film you are actually going to have to remove parts of a clip.

I will be working on the music video project with my friend Jose Reyes. He's a long time childhood friend. We go way back to 1st grade so i've known him for many many years. I decided to work with him on this project because we already worked on two other projects together for this class. Also, he lives pretty close to my house so it would be convenient for us. We actually get our work done which is a plus. We focus more on our work instead of getting distracted easily with other things.

When it was time for choosing the song it was difficult at first because of our different taste in music. But, we both ended up agreeing on a song called Don't You Worry Child by Swedish House Mafia. The meaning behind this song is deep. It was about a child who felt like a king but, when he got his heartbroken he no longer feels the same way he once did. He seems to be holding onto the words his father once told him as a way for him to move past his obstacles in life. His father's words are like his reassurance to move on when something doesn't go planned because it's the process of life. I was the one who mentioned the song and Jose ended up liking it. The song genre is like pop or dance/electronic. I liked this song because it was a song I used to listen to years ago so it's a nice memory.
