Gatorade Commercial
This was my first ever experience recording a commercial. It was a cool experience being in charge of my own commercial. Also, directing it and making the storyboard come to actual life. I love recording on my phone so making this film was actually fun. This small project wasn't actually hard it was very simple and easy. I used new techniques when recording for example, I used different angles like a low angle or high. Throughout this activity I learned many things. For one, I learned that sometimes you just have to work with what you got and deal with it. I had to deal with the sky being cloudy and make the best out of it. Also, when i realized i forgot my cones and had to improves the cones with the extra gatorades I took. I honestly like how my commercial came out even though it was my first time making a film and I still don't know a lot about editing and recording. But, I am willing to learn to improve and know that by the end of this school year I will have improved my skills. If I had to change anything from my commercial one thing would've been going to the field a later time. The reason to that is because there would've been more sunlight and less clouds but, it would've also been more hot in the afternoon. But, I wasn't going to have time in the afternoon so, I also learned that you just have to make thing fit in your schedule whether you have to wake up extra earlier or sleep very late at night. Another thing I would've liked to change is the amount of people in the film. If there were at least one other person I could have done a different clip that I originally had liked and was intriguing. There was suppose to be another person but then she told me she wouldn't be able to so I changed the storyboard. Also, I wish I would've been the person in the commercial but unfortunately I couldn't. I wasn't going to be able to run because I had surgery out of the blue and to think it just was a normal stomach ache, but it made me learn that things can happen unexpectedly and you always should have a backup plan. Overall, it was a great experience for testing new stuff and seeing my capabilities and In my further films I know I will grow more.
