Intro Blog

 

    Hi my name is Liliana Rubio and I am currently in the 11th grade at Fort Lauderdale High School. I was born on March 3rd of 2004, and i'm excited to turn 17 next year. Some facts about me is that I love the color blue, I love watching telenovelas which in english it translates to soap operas, and I love babies. I am the youngest out of my two other siblings and i am the only girl. I enjoy spending time with my family as much as I can and enjoy road trips a lot, especially really long trips. Also, I am very shy when it comes to public speaking or talking to people who I don't know but, the beginning of my sophomore year I started to talk first to people and i've meet a lot more people this school year. I am taking AICE Media Studies because im trying to get my cambridge diploma. This class also caught my attention because i love watching movies and tv shows so, learning techniques they use and all the concepts about film and editing is intriguing to me. 

    I was born in south Florida and lived here my whole life. Both of my Parents are from Mexico so, ever since i was born i would always go to Mexico every year until my parents got divorced. I love Mexico, it's where my happiness is at. Everything about it I just love like: the music, the culture, the food, and the nature. I went twice this year and i'm supper grateful I had the opportunity to go in February and in August. Fun fact is that everytime i've gone to Mexico has been in a car, only one time I went in plane. 

    Fort Lauderdale isn't my homeschool but i came here for the cambridge program they offered and I fell in love with the school. I play on the soccer team for the school ever since freshman year but, i'm not sure about this year because of the pandemic that is going on right now. Ever since i was small I always loved playing soccer since I grew up watching my brothers play. Another hobby I have is dancing, it is really relaxing and puts me in a great mood and it reminds me i Mexico since I dance to spanish or Mexican songs. Also, in the future I hope to pursue and accomplish my dream of becoming a nurse. Fort Lauderdale high school offers so many health related sciences which I use to my benefit and take as many fit in my schedule while trying to get my AICE diploma and graduation requirements.

Unproductive days

 This week has been an unproductive week. Well only for this class I didn't do anything. I decided not to deal with anything dealing with this class. But, I didn't do anything because I was lazy I needed to work on other things. I catched up on other classes instead throughout the week. The reason for this was because of work all my assignments have piled up. Also, I wasn't worried with not working on this class because everything is prepared. I just have to wait for the day I am going to film. Also, I got sick this week and haven't been feeling well. I did go take a covid exam and it came back negative thankfully. I am just getting the cold but, I still have to film so whether or not I am fine or not I will be filming. Tomorrow friday, I am finally going to film. I have waited a very long time but tomorrow will finally be the date. I didn't follow the schedule I had originally made for the dates of filming and editing. But, not everything goes as planned. Delay

 So over these last couple of days I have ran into some difficulties. Some of my family members started to get sick. So now we have to wait for their covid results to come back just to make sure it isn't that. This is making me have to postpone the filming if anything as of right now. I won't postpone it for to long because I have to start filming. Coronavirus has taken a huge impact on how we socially gatter now in groups. It is better to be safe than sorry. So, if I have to take out people from my final project I will do so. My clothes hasn't arrive and if it doesn't get here by this weekend I am just going to have to wear something else. Even though the clothes I order was supper important I can style some clothes I already have to fit the look I need. My goal was to film over this weekend but, it is a holiday weekend.
